Robertland earn their Wings

Robertland earn their Wings

Thanks to great weather and "over the edge" help from staff and volunteers, the group of Robertland Academy students and staff were each able to complete the four jumps required to earn their Wings.

A special ceremony will be held at the Academy during the week of May 29 to hand out the Wing pins and induct each of them in to the Robertland Parachute Club.

Colonel Scott Bowman, Head of the Academy, was quite pleased with our staff and volunteer's highly professional conduct, a...

DZ Excitement

DZ Excitement

Seeing as the weather hasn't been overly cooperative lately, we've had to find new ways of keeping the excitement alive at the dropzone.

With the rain accumulation over the last couple of weeks, it was thought that "mud running" would be the most ideal activity to stir up some fun. Monkey Doug (with Shelley's help of course) was proud to take the event to heart, and graciously walked away with 1st place! (see VVI photo gallery-"around the dz")

Best wishes

Velocity Venture Inc would like to take this time to thank everyone for all of your support during the last year. As some of you well know, it was a rough start to the beginning of the 2005 season and without the help and concern of many of you, it probably couldn't have been done.

We truly wish the best for everyone for 2006, and look forward to seeing you in the skies!!

Winter care

It's getting to be that cold time of year again when jumping for most people slows down to almost nothing...yet for others, it means a great opportunity to take a trip to the southern states and bask in the heat and wonderful smell of Jet A fuel while climbing aboard a turbine engine airplane.

For those that are lucky enough to go south, it's hard not to keep thinking about how many days left before you leave, what kind of jumps you're going to do, how many, etc. Some get so focused ...
